Question by xxnitemareangelxx:
How do you annotate nonfiction works?
I'm required to read & annotate Omnivore's Dilemma (nonfiction book), the Declaration of Independence, and several other nonfiction works for my summer homework. However, I have never annotated a nonfiction work before... How do you annotate nonfiction??

For example: "We the perople of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, provide for the common deffense, and secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our prosperity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." (The Premable to The Constitution). If you want to annotate it, find this in a book with the Constitution. If it is the first reference from a work, put a small 1 in the upper left corner. Write a Biography page AND a Footnotes page as well. The footnote page will look like this:
(small 1) Encyclopedia of Common Works, The (underline it), pg. 187.
If you have another referrence to the same work, etal, and (a small 2) to the left of "etal."
